Counseling by JFS now offers Psychological Assessment!
Psychological evaluations are available on an outpatient basis for children, adolescents, and adults.
Testing and assessment services include IQ/intelligence testing, assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), personality testing, and evaluations for depression and other mood disorders. Master’s level psychology graduate students under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist conduct tests and assessments.
Wait times to be seen are extremely short, both for uninsured and for insured clients (once testing authorization has been received from the insurance provider). As a result of JFS’s psychology internship training program, clients and families requesting psychological testing receive a high level of attention to their needs and understanding of their unique situation.
As part of its social service mission, JFS focuses on meeting the needs of a diverse clientele.
JFS offers a fee subsidy for psychological testing and assessment for clients without insurance.
The agency is conveniently located at 6720 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23226, with convenient access to nearby bus stops.
